KCLS Access for Students

Did you know all Issaquah students have digital library cards connected to their student ID number? Student's student ID number is the number they use for Clever and is unique to each student. If you and your child are not sure what your student's number is, it can be found on Skyward. You can check out e-books with the student card and explore a ton of databases.

Below are instructions for accessing a variety of resources from KCLS.

Step 1: Go to

Step 2: Choose "Kids" from the Online Resources section

Step 3: Explore all of the available resources. If you want to access kid-friendly databases and e-books, click on Student Accounts on the left side of the screen. Once you are ready to check out an e-book or read from a database you will be asked to enter your library card and pin. Your library card number is 411 followed by your 7-digit student district ID, which can be found in Skyward. Your pin is the last 4 digits of your library card number. For example, library card - 4117654321 - and pin - 4321.

Please email Ms. Threlkeld if you have any questions or run into issues.

Virtual Story Time with Ms. Threlkeld

For privacy and security reasons, links to join meetings will be emailed to families the day of the event. Students do not need a Zoom account to participate. Here is the schedule, which could always change due to guidance around technology and teaching from ISD or OSPI:

Monday: Kindergarten at 11am and 1st grade at 1pm

Tuesday: 2nd grade at 11am and 3rd grade at 1pm

Thursday: 4th grade at 1pm

Friday: 5th grade at 11am

Ms. Threlkeld will read 1-2 picture books to students and grade level teachers will also be invited to read. There will be time at the end of the meeting for participants to share what they have been reading or working on the last week. Looking forward to seeing lots of Briarwood Bears!

Books before Break!

Ms. Threlkeld hid 30 golden tickets around the building on the Friday before winter break and any student who found one could exchange it for a new book to keep. It was wonderful to see so many kids excited about finding a ticket! Here are three lucky winners mulling over their options.
